Are you a quilter (or even a want-to-be?)  We can take care of that!

During earlier times, quilts were an indispensable article in households, not only as bed coverings, but also to keep us warm. In fact, patchwork quilts were created by homemakers made from recycled fabric and worn out clothing.

Today, we still use quilting to create warm blankets but it is also used as an art form to express our creativity.  As followers of Jesus, we are especially thrilled to use our talents when these times help build community.

THE QUILTERS... PIECING IT TOGETHER

Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.
Proverbs 31:30-31

This year, we will focus on "Scrappy Quilts" where women learn new quilting tips and techniques as well as gathering for fellowship, prayer, and sharing.  Learn the tricks and techniques and lose your inhabitations of quilting.  We'll talk about color choice, fabric selection, rotary cutting, accurate ¼" seams and so much more.

We would love to have you join us!  Check out any of the Saturday classes.  We meet at church in A101 with plenty of room to spread out materials and supplies.  For details, call Karen Hartenhoff at 605-334-1967.  Upcoming dates are:

Saturday morning, Mar 20, 2010, 9:30 AM

Saturday morning, Apr 17, 2010, 9:30 AM
