Description:

Central Baptist Church, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a vibrant evangelical church with approximately 1,000 worshiping on Sunday morning in a city of 145,000 people, seeks a Director of Children's Ministries, a ministry focused on children ages birth through 5^th grade.  

This is an established ministry position with tremendous opportunities for ministry to children, volunteers and families in a comprehensive new and remodeled facility.  The facility includes sixteen classrooms, large gathering area with new Audio/Video equipment, gymnasium/multi-purpose room, State of the art computerized check in security system and welcome center, suite of offices. Children Ministries at Central currently serve a weekly average of 350 - 400 children with over 150 volunteers monthly in a multi-intelligence environment.  

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for developing and executing all aspects of Children's Ministries at Central working in a Vision/Mission/Values driven organization.

Qualifications: 

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education. Equivalent experience may be accepted. A passion for integrated multi-intelligence ministry and a desire to work in a multi-staff large church are sought. The successful candidate must be called to evangelism, discipleship and Christian education of children. The successful candidate will additionally have documented experience in collaborative ministry defined by recruiting, training, evaluating and retaining volunteers, staff and colleagues.
